RDO in Reigate became the set for a film adaptation of the best selling book “Around Ireland with a fridge”. The film, starring Tony Hawks, tell the story of a drunken bet for a man to hitch hike around Ireland with a fridge!
Roger Sargant, owner of RDO said, ” A couple of months ago a film scout came into the store and asked if they could use our shop in their movie. I thought it would be a bit of fun and create some interest in the town so i said yes!”
RDO provides the shop where Mr Hawks purchases his fridge and starts his journey!
Round Ireland with a fridge will be in cinemas by the end of the year.
