For sheer value for money you can't beat the SGS43T72

Bosch – SGS43T72

This is the dishwasher to get if you’re on a budget. Its a Bosch so you know the build quality is going to be up to standard. Triple A rated and a Quick wash programme at 30°C makes it very economical to run

There are 4 programmes and 3 temperature settings:

  • Normal 65°C
  • Economy 50°C
  • Quick wash 35°C
  • Pre Rinse

LED status indicators notify you of the programme status,
salt refill and rinse aid refill.

It has Multiple water protection, a self cleaning filter system and its fairly quiet too at 54dB

The Stainless Steel SN26M890 is about as good as it gets.

Siemens – SN26M890

Stepping up a level and to a different finish! Stainless Steel! There is a white version of this dishwasher but we thought it was worth mentioning this one because of its striking appearance. Guarenteed to finish off any modern kitchen design the Siemens SN26M890 has all the features you’d expect when you pay a bit more money.

It’s 14 Place settings (2 more than the Bosch) Triple A rated and its got a quick wash programme that only takes 29 minutes!!! At 46dB the noise level is going to be noticeably quieter than the Bosch.




The programmes are:

  • Pre  rinse
  • QuickWash 45°C
  • Delicate 40°C
  • Economy 50°C
  • Auto Daily 45-65°C
  • Intensive 70°C
  • Half Load (uses 30% less water.)

The SN26M890 also has a height adjustable top basket and something called “VarioDrawer” which is basically just a cutlery basket that sits at the top of the dishwasher. Other nice finishing touches are; LED Time remaining indicator, Delay start(up to 24 hours) Anti Leak Sensor and Automatic Detergent Aware system.

  • this are very good dishwashers. the most important is the features that will save water and can clean very good. TIP FOR SOAPY SPONGE:
    Next to my kitchen sink, I keep a bar soap dish resting on top of a clean sponge. The bottom of the soap dish has holes for drainage. The soapy water drains from the dish into the sponge. The pre-soaped sponge is ready for use when I need to touch up a single dish or container
